Simple pleasures in life include but are not limited to: fresh cut flowers, iced coffee, tiny succulents, pastries, and a full glass of wine. On a walk through the West Village the other day, I found a nook with all of the above. Rosecrans, a cafe meets florist shop, is filled to the brim with flowers, antique furniture, scones, lattes, and wine.

This shop is perfect for meeting a friend for a coffee, a first date, or even hosting an intimate dinner party. In my visit to Rosecrans I decided to become a plant mom to two new bright little lights in my life. With the help of the staff, I picked out two succulents plants along with two pots to home my new green friends. The whole process was incredibly seamless, and to my delight, reasonably priced! They helped with potting my plants, and carefully pressing soil and bagging them so I could make the 20 minute walk back home without a worry. They also answered all my questions for caring for the two plant varieties I purchased that day.

I was so pleased with this experience and the brilliant ambience of this quaint shop. I also spent some time after this visit messaging Rosecrans via Instagram to discuss possibly hosting a dinner party, and could not speak more highly of their communication skills. Rosecrans responded with impressive speed and detailed, helpful information to answer all of my questions and offer services such as in house chefs to make my experience as positive as it could be. I hope to be back again soon.
